Jeremy Lin Gives His 'Best effort to God'
Jeremy Lin broke out his career in style with a career-high 38 points, seven assists and four rebounds. But he's giving credit to God.
"I just give all the praise to God," Lin said after the game.
Lin quickly became a basketball star as Point guard for the New York Knicks. His quick raise to basketball greatness is being credited for saving the season, but also for being committed to go out on the court and play for God and clearly not ashamed of his faith in Christ.
Looking back on his journey, Lin credits all his blessings, including his height, coaching and playing opportunities, to God.
"I look back and I realize these are His fingerprints all over my story," he said.
Lin confessed that he started out for himself, to have great performances and contracts, but as he unpacked God's word he began to realize "our true prize ... was something in heaven, not on earth"
"I realize I had to learn ... to stop chasing the perishable prizes of this earth ... and give my best effort unto God and trust Him with the results."
Lin has a new focus on court and is now playing for God rather that personal greatness.
