'American Idol' Colton Dixon Talks About Faith to Millions
"American Idol" Top 10 contestant Colton Dixon hasn't stopped speaking about his love for Christ, even though producers are warning him that he could lose some votes.
After delivering an astounding rendition of Billy Joel's "Piano Man," the 20-year-old Tennessee native told host Ryan Seacrest, "I've been praying before this whole thing because tonight was a big moment for me."
Steven Tyler said Dixon was "stunning" and "outrageous." Jennifer Lopez said it gave her "goosies from head to toe." Randy Jackson added, "It was a sensitive, touching, moving performance."
When host Ryan Seacrest asked what Dixon was thinking, he replied, "I was just collecting myself and saying God use me I want Him to shine through first and foremost."

Producers of the secular show recently asked Dixon, a devout Christian and singer, to tone down his faith tweets suggesting they could have a negative effect on his contending.
"When we first started the Twitter and Facebook stuff, they said beware of political and religious tweets," he previously told TODAY.com. "Just because it can turn off voters or whatever. But you know, being a Christian is who I am. It is a part of me musically. It is what I want to do after the show – go into Christian music."
Without any fear of his faith, nor the possible negative effect on his contending, Dixon firmly asserted that hiding who he was just for some votes was not an option.
"I am not going to hide it, and I am not going to stray away from it just because I am on a TV show."
His fearless stance in front of millions on live TV received an outpouring of praise on social media. Twitter and Facebook fans by the thousands cheered his shout out to God.
Dixon recently updated on Facebook, "I am no different than you. we were all created by God to be his messengers. let's spread his love to the nations!"
Praise God for elevating people like Colton to positions on national TV.
