2012 Master Champion Looks Good in Green, but Jesus Looks Better
Owning the General Lee is pretty cool. Winning the Masters Green Jacket, might be better... But, Bubba Watson's prioritization of Jesus speak volumes.
"Christian. Husband. Daddy. Pro Golfer. Owner of General Lee 1" is how 2012 Masters Champion, Bubba Watson describes himself on Twitter. And pay attention to how that is ordered, because it speaks volumes about the man who just won the famous green jacket in Augusta, Georgia.
Watson is yet another professional sports figure who is not ashamed to proclaim Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
“For me, it’s just showing the Light,” the 33-year-old said. “There’s people who want to put down Christians. I try to tell them Jesus loves you. It’s just a way to be strong in my faith.”

Bubba knows first hand what Jesus meant when He said people will hate us for loving Him, but the golfing professional knows love is key. Instead of ignoring the hate, tweets like “Your God Tweets are lame,” are responded in love by Watson with “I will pray for u and ur family.”
Over 39,000 tweets later, the Golfing pro has amassed over 440,000 twitter followers and Watson is using this platform, along with the media attention to keep sharing Jesus.
Tweets of his favorite verses like: “Hebrews 13:6 So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere man do to me?’” or speaking to his priorities : “Most important things in my life- 1. God 2. Wife 3. Family 4. Helping others 5. Golf” are blasted into Social MediaSphere helping advance God's Kingdom.
But of all the quotes, perhaps there is no better description of Bubba Watsons character, than this: "For me, it's just showing the Light. There's people who want to put down Christians. I try to tell them Jesus loves you." — Bubba Watson, 2012 Masters champion
